RANCHO SAN CARLOS RD RESIDENCE / Santa Lucia Preserve, Carmel, CA
Completed as Project Architect at Ken Linsteadt Architects
A contemporary retreat in dialogue with nature. Set into a wooded hillside above the rolling Carmel Valley, this home is shaped by land, light, and long views. Low, linear forms with a combination of metal gabled and flat green roofs anchor the architecture to its site, while warm materials—wood, stone, and concrete—soften the modern palette. Expansive glazing and layered terraces extend living spaces outward, creating a retreat that feels both sheltered and expansive.
